After working with nonprofit groups in South America that assisted communities in establishing safe, reliable drinking water and sanitation, she envisioned a soap that was nourishing for the user, good for the environment and that would contribute to all the people of the world having access to basic sanitation and clean water. Colorful Creations with Hart is the creation of Rebecca Hartsuiker. She grew up in rural Minnesota where her love for animals sparked inspiration for her pieces. While she began working with clay, her medias quickly expanded. Rebecca’s murals can be found in private homes and throughout a large daycare facility in Wisconsin. Creating art has always been her passion. Though she is a busy mom, art is part of her everyday: encouraging her own children and teaching others to explore and express themselves through various art medias. Even These Colors is a collection of prophetic and shameless art. The “Body Freedom” project was inspired by women who desired freedom from the pressure to treat their bodies like fashion (“what’s in and what’s out”). The message is to communicate the truth that art does not need to look a certain way to be beautiful, and neither do our bodies. Rather, in the details, “even these colors” have found purpose on paper.
