So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am someone who always preferred to shop local and support social impact enterprises. I have lived in Colorado Springs since 2010 and love the juxtaposition of outdoors and young professional community here. My professional background is in Organizational Psychology and business operations, and after feeling burnt out and uninspired by “Corporate America”, I set out to find a new path more aligned with supporting community and social impact. Eclectic CO is in downtown Colorado Springs. It a collection of more than two dozen local artisans and small businesses.
The owner, Peri Bolts, visited with FOX21’s Samantha Marks about why it’s important to shop small.

Peri Bolts loves shopping local and has a simple mission in mind for Eclectic CO, her new shop at 214 N. Tejon St.: make shopping for local craft goods as easy as shopping at any other retail store.
The former Starbucks manager, a self-described fan of supporting social impact businesses, got the idea to start Eclectic CO (shopeclecticco.com) at a pop-up event: Females of the Future, now called Womxn of the Future, founded by Stephanie Yu of Wilder Bag and Jenny Bazzetta of Bonbon Bombardier.
COLORADO SPRINGS – They come and go every holiday season in Colorado Springs: pop-up shops.
While they’re only in town for a few months these small businesses bring a lot to the local economy.
