How to Wrap Your Gift in a Gift

How to Wrap Your Gift in a Gift by Rin Russ

Wrapping gifts is hands-down the hardest part of gift-giving. Measuring and folding and taping and then you have to decorate it more?! What nonsense. Except, it does look super fun when your gift has that extra something on it. What is it about that bow?

The downside is that while many wrapping papers are recyclable, the ribbons and bows usually are not. Now I’m not trying to say that our pom poms and garlands are going to save the planet, but I will say that there’s a lot to be said for using them to class up your presents. You’re basically giving your friend or family member a present inside of a present. Now you’re the best gifter ever, am I right?

Wrap a Hair Tie Around a Wine Bottle

This is the greatest last-minute hostess gift ever for two reasons. One, the pom pom hair tie dresses up the bottle without you having to buy a special gift bag. Two, it’s like a second gift for your hostess that will last beyond the bottle of wine.

Top Your Gift with a Pom Pom Ornament

You know what happens to bows after the present is opened? It goes in the trash. You know what happens to gifts topped with adorable pom pom ornaments? The ornaments go on the tree this year and for years to come.

Tie a Felt Garland Around Your Gift

Wrapping a felt garland around your gift ensures a touch of pizazz that will last beyond present-opening. You don’t even have to be that precise: wrap it around once or twice and tie it in a bow or loose knot. Bonus points for using a custom garland in your friend’s favorite colors!
